twitter is a micro blogging platform ,which allows you to publish short messages of less than 140 characters through various means such as instant messaging, and mobile phones and the Internet.
Most people who have signed with Twitter for the first time do not know what to do with it, and The fact that Twitter asks "What are you doing?" on the update page does not help at all. Personally this misled many people to think it was only made to broadcast of your activities to your wife or to any person keen to know. May be this is what started the idea of this social network in the first place . But now people are discovering the wonders of microblogging. They talk about interesting, meaningful stuff and include links to blogs and articles have a positive affect on their brand. Even companies and business personals are testing out twitter as part of the their steps in the arena of social media.
There was a lot of press coverage about Twitter, including The Wall Street Journal under the title of the article “Twitter Goes Mainstream.”

Twitter provides access to your community and extended community through the multiplier effect .When the person next to you for the outstanding and make their Twitter following your Twitter begins to grow.if you think you don not have enough follower, there is an easy proved you can use,you just need to register at Tweeter Getter for free, this service allow you to be followed i tried it and for the last 7 days my follower increase by 70 followers.
Twitter is a great way for self-promotion and marketing , that involves active user engagement.

twitter is a great tool to draw attention to a blog....each time you write an article you can write something in your updates telling your follower about it
follower can be your friends, your co workers ,fellow bloggers or random people you got to know thought twitter or generated for you by Tweeter Getter
In adversing for our blogs on twitter microblog we should be (as ALWAYS ) genuine,also not to over advertise , i think it should not me more than 3 post a day about advertising.
